AA PREAMBLE<\/strong><\/p>\n

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.<\/p>\n

The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees\u00a0 for A.A. membership; we are self supporting through our own contributions.<\/p>\n

A.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.<\/p>\n

POS INTERGROUP<\/strong><\/p>\n

In 1956 the first AA group was opened in POS. By 1991 there were ten AA Groups and one AA Meeting functioning in the POS area.<\/p>\n

On 20th<\/sup> September of that year the Port Of Spain Intergroup was formed and held its first monthly meeting. POSIG continues to be an active service entity supplying timely and relevant information and documentation to its members and has always maintained great communications with other intergroups in the country.<\/p>\n

The intergroup has grown over the years to now include thirteen AA Groups and four AA meetings in its membership.<\/p>\n

This year we will observing our 32nd Anniversary.<\/u><\/em><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
